My favorite part of Fighting Reuben Wolfe, which I loved, was when the two brothers talked at night after they'd gone to bed and the lights were off. It was such a good way to reveal parts of themselves that they didn't talk about during the day, especially Reuben, and reveal their closeness. I have to applaud a book that combines such strong writing with a sports topic like boxing that a lot of kids are interested in.
