Humour in Australian children's literature

Last year I published a teacher's resource book on humour in Australian children's literature (through Scholastic Australia) which readers of kids' Ozlit might find interesting. We have some fabulous writers of humour, and many Oz kids' writers have fascinating websites. I'm happy to provide some of my bibliographical material for readers who may be interested - wait on, better check with my publisher first! - but writers and illustrators featured included Duncan Ball, Margaret Clark, Terry Denton, Andy Griffiths, Morris Gleitzman, poet Max Fatchen and Paul Jennings as well as Bob Graham.

Read 'em and smile, chuckle, belly laugh. Wonderful for the soul. And as Morris Gleitzman says (I paraphrase) how can we cope with the tough stuff of life without humour?

:) to all!
