We'll look at picture Books written by Gary Crew, Mem Fox, Bob Graham, and Margaret Wild; novels written by John Marsden, Garth Nix, and Gillian Rubenstein. Throughout the month, comments about the works of some of the many other Australian writers for children and young adults published in the United States are also welcome.
August 2002 Books for Babies and Toddlers. What authors come to mind when you are looking for outstanding books for the youngest children? What do you look for when you are evaluating books for this age group? From story books to concept books, original board books to traditional picture books, we'll look at the creators, content and format of books created especially for very young children.
