I second everything that Cassie said. Never having read M.E. Kerr, and reading about her on CCBC, I picked up GENTLEHANDS. Wow! A riveting story from beginning to end. An adolescent character that rang so true--that learned only from his own experience, not from the "wise" words of some attendant adult--that I felt like he was in the room. And conversation so real that I could actually hear it in my head.
Can't wait to read more. Thank you, thank you, CCBC.
