Monica Edinger has asked about the Mary James pseudonym, and perhaps we'll hear more about this from the author herself. It is, however, just one of many pseudonyms she has used, and it seems each one is used for a different audience or different type of writing.

I believe it was in her memoir "Me Me Me Me Me : Not a Novel," that Kerr wrote about having created an agent persona in her early writing career who represented various authors ? each one a different pseudonym for herself. Or am I dreaming that?
