Very good, KT! I really never thought of that. Of course from Dinky Hocker to Brenda Belle Blossom (Son of Someone Famous; she worried she was turning into a male) to Cowboy and then Evie, there are these tomboy girls. I've never really tried to discover how many there were/are, but it's something for me to think about on a rainy day. Of course I know who they all are, just not how many of me I created.
It's always interesting to me when a reader points out similarities in my fiction I wasn't aware of. I remember one reader telling me that I had two characters in separate novels point out "An ass who goes travelling doesn't come back a horse." That really threw me.
When I was little my mother was always asking me NOT to talk out of the side of my mouth, and I think I have a few characters who do that.
Unfortunately, I still do it, too. Please pass on. mek
