Thanks for telling us a bit about how you got into the young adult literature field.

Several years ago I read your adult novel "Shockproof Sydney Skate" published around the same time as "Dinky Hocker Shoots Smack." (It's a great book and I am pleased to see this has recently been reissued.) Today it reads pretty much like a young adult novel. Was that your original intention, or did you always see it as an adult novel? Do you think it would be published as y.a. if you had written in in the 1990s?

For anyone who hasn't read "Shockproof Sydney Skate" I highly recommend it!
