I thank Kathleen for her neat follow-up on ME's pseudonyms-for-kids idea and apologize again for that somewhat off-topic post. However, I wasn't exactly asking for general info about teaching writing to kids so please don't email me privately a bunch of ideas! No offense, but after nearly three decades in the classroom, I've got the basics down. What interests me now is what authors who work directly with children can offer as tips, ideas that come from their experience as writers and working with kids as writers. Ideas like kids assuming pseudonyms and giving their characters interesting names. Hmm, this sounds like a terrific future topic for ccbcnet!
So, apologies once again and thanks once again.
