Another author that my daughter really finds funny is Paul Jennings. I think I've got that right. He has a series of books with exclamatory titles like Unmentionable! I tried them but found them a little too odd. She also likes Roald Dahl and I don't. Wayside School by Louis Sachar is another of her favourite series.
The funny books that I like are along the lines of Angus, Thongs, etc and books that are not necessarily comic but use comedy to deal with life. Sharon Creech, Joan Bauer, etc.
