As a child I loved AMELIA BEDELIA by Peggy Parish and now I love reading it to my nieces and nephews. I've noticed that there's most definitely a right age to read it to kids--any younger and they don't get the double meanings of the words ("dressing the turkey," "stripping the sheets," and so on). When it's the right age, though; giggles galore!
