Hi
Those with whom I've shared the books get a good laugh at the klutzy
"princess in the The Princess Diary series.
The bombing incident is indeed sad in The Watson's go to Birmingham - 1963 - but there are indeed some hilarious moments in the book - particularly when the older boy has his tongue stuck to the icy side view mirror. (Cruel humor??? - but funny!!)
May of Pat Cumming's picture books are full of joyfyl humor.
