I can't let this chance go by without weighing in on one of my all-time favorite YA novels which I think is hilarious: CELINE by Brock Cole. The voice of the narrator as she describes her 26-year-old stepmother cracks me up. Also the scene in which she's sure an older man has his hand on her knee when in fact his glove has fallen off the dashboard and landed there. I reread this book annually just to remind myself how terrific YA can be.
