Humor, as with beauty. is in the eye of the beholder. An anecdote to illustrate. when two of my children were young and could coexist in the same bedroom, we were reading Winnie the Pooh at bedtime. When I got to the story of Pooh and Piglet moving Eeyore's house, Daisy was laughing hysterically and Sarah was weeping uncontrollably. When I asked why: Daisy said "Well, how silly. Everyone was just at the wrong place at the wrong time!" Sarah said "But now Eeyore won't have any where to live!" (And if you are at all interesed the girls are still exactly like that and can no longer coexist in the same bedroom!) I don't find Lemony Snickert funny at all. I do however find slapstick hilarious. I think sometimes we laugh at a plight that is, thankfully, not ours, but could be.
