I agree with Rukhsana. Amos' Sweater is a favourite of my kids. Another series of picture books that my son likes is by Colin MacNaughton. Although these are fractured fairy tales they work at a different level as well. My son is 8 and has Down syndrome. He loves the repetition of SUDDENLY and OOPS which are his to read. He positively cackles with glee and sometimes says the word before I turn the page.
