Myth/Folklore vs. Fiction

Dear List Members,

I think we should not confuse categorizing books (fiction vs. nonfiction) with Library Call Number assignments.

In fact, all FICTION has numbers, too. American Fiction is in the 813, British Fiction is 823, German, 833, etc. And, Biographies are supposed to be 920. In my library, SC is used to denote Story Collection (collection of short stories.) Someone can someday decide that all Mythology and Folklore be given a special prefix in the Call number - MYT, FOL, STO (stories?)

Just want to clarify this aspect and hopefully we will be discussing the Nature of the books and not the Library Classification of the books.
