Dear all, For me the amount of support material permitted at the back of the book is limited by my publisher's editorial policy. Currently this allows me to cite secondary sources only, not the primary sources quoted within them. I can give a bibliography of selected titles only, not the very long list of the sources I used. This policy is not the way I would choose to document my book, but what's an author to do? I want my book published and I understand that publishers have space and expense constraints. Also this is a question of who is our audience. Young readers can certainly find much more useful information, including leads to original sources, by using the works cited. If the audience is reviewers who plan to check each word against an original source (how can they have time to do this?), then the source material is inadequate. Wishing for kind and understanding reviewers, Angelica Carpenter
