Announcement: Charlotte Zolotow Award Presentation

The first few days of each month on CCBC-Net, we welcome your general announcements and news about children's and young adult literature.
With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that on Monday April 29, 2002, from 5-7 pm we will host the Fifth Annual Charlotte Zolotow Award presentation, co-sponsored by the Friends of the CCBC, Inc. The event will take place in Madison, Wisconsin, at Harrison Parlor, Lathrop Hall, 1050 University Avenue. The award presentation will be made to Margaret Willey author of "Clever Beatrice," (Atheneum) at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend but we ask that you please RSVP by April 22 to Kathleen Horning 608&3930 horning at education.wisc.edu if you plan to join us.
The Charlotte Zolotow Award is given each year for outstanding writing in a picture book for children from birth through age seven. Further information about the award can be found on the web site at: http://www.education.wisc.edu/ccbc/zolotow.htm
