hello,
this is my first time participating in this site. I am currently teaching fourth grade and our unit is immigration to America, specifically, to NY at the turn of the century. It's an interesting coincidence that you're discussing Paradise in America, is this an appropriate book for fourth graders, would you recommend it as a read-aloud? Also, what are some other books you would recommend for this unit? Thanks for your input.
