I am a new subscriber to the list. I joined specifically for the discussion of the Newbery winners and enjoyed hearing everyone's opinions and comparing them with mine.
Here's my concern. When the Newberys were announced I had not heard of any of them.
I am hoping to start a Newbery Discussion Group for grades 6-8 at our school to go with our already established Literature Group, but I am unsure of the best ways to find out about the newest releases in order to offer them to the students.
Where can I find lists of new children's book releases or reviews of new children's books? Are there certain magazine/journal subscriptions you would recommend? Are there websites that offer more than an occasional recommendation or review?
Thank you in advance.
