Revamping of awards

Normally, I enjoy everyone's comments and seldom "speak up" but I need to on the revising of the N/C awards.
The ALSC board from time to time has to consider the awards in the light of new technology, copyright, etc. and has indeed reviewed the criteria and guidelines for the N/C awards. And, the person who has been most instrumental in the revision of the awards has been Bette Peltola, retiree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her careful and thoughtful revisions have won accolades from each board with whom she has worked. The last revision was when I was president of the division and Bette polled many members of ALSC. Her precise writing and language is evident in the revisions. She has written several articles about the N/C awards and they are well worth reading.
