One thing that really appealed to and intrigued me about "Martin's Big Words" is the fact that there is nothing on the cover of the book except a large, appealing picture of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s face. No words. No title, no author, no illustrator. I think that takes guts and a certain selflessness on the part of the creators of this book It also fosters an immediate intimacy with the reader.
I'd be interested to know others' reactions to this design decision--and also, if anyone is in a position of knowledge, the reasoning behind it.
