Thanks to the sports book discussion on ccbc-net earlier this year, my 4-year-old nephew is getting Elisha Cooper's BALLPARK [1998], while the 5-year-old is receiving Gail Gibbons's MY SOCCER BOOK [2000]. Their horsecrazy 7-year-old cousin will devour Jessie Haas's RUNAWAY RADISH [2001], while the 14-year-old will receive Diana Wynne Jones's MIXED MAGICS [2001].
