I'm usually reading something that came out a different year so I have no one title at this morning instant before I head out to battle illiteracy at De Forest High School. I do want to say, though, that f people are quitting ccbc-net, they will, I vote, be less informed, less in touch. Don't quit, folks. It's dark out there!!!!! Stick with us. We can disagree without being disagreeable!?!
Some of us have limits on what we can store -- how many strokes --to sort out later or immediately--with our e-mail/internet providers.
Often, and December in particular as I/we take stock of life and the past year in general, one of us hits a "too much" personal life and/or "too much" professional life plateau.
Some of our "over" is because kids are so needy on some things in our work....or it's that heaven touching earth time when there's so much to do and so little time.
-------- I humbly suggest for another year:
*Those brave souls who venture choices to say, as the vote note opens, what age group is involved? I have YA kids in my captive audiences.....and what might appeal to them is vital to me.
*Maybe JANUARYs (bleak in some ways--in need of more intellectual sparks)--would be better for this sort of wide-open multi-title multi-voter merry sharing?
-------CCBC circle of light--Keep on keeping on! Your ideas, your suggestions, your titles, the forum....it often makes my personal and professional day to know you/we are out there, stirring and shaking.
L'Chaim,
B. Ihlenfeldt
