Upcoming CCBC Annual Award Discussions

Annual CCBC Award Discussions provide participants with the opportunity to learn about several prominent children's and young adult literature awards and to discuss books that are currently eligible for these awards. These discussions are open to any interested adult, including UW-Madison students and faculty, librarians, teachers, and others. Participants are expected to read most or all of the books on the discussion lists which will be posted on the CCBC web site soon.
The CCBC will host the following award discussions this fall in the Elizabeth Burr Room of the CCBC, 4290 Helen C. White Hall on the UW-Madison campus, between 5:10 - 9:10 pm:
Caldecott Award Discussion: Tuesday, November 20 Newbery Award Discussion: Thursday, November 29 Sibert Award Discussion: Monday, December 3 Coretta Scott King Award Discussion: Tuesday, December 11 Printz Award Discussion: Wednesday, January 9, 2002
Reading lists for the above discussions, and information about signing up for the discussions, will be available on the CCBC web site the week of November 5.
The CCBC will host an Americas Award discussion on Wedneday, March 6, 2002. That list will be available on the CCBC web site by the end of January.
