The Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults program of Vermont College will present a mini-conference on fantasy in children's and young adult literature on Saturday, January 26th and Sunday, January 27th. While these two days are set in the framework of the MFA winter residency, outsiders are welcome to attend for the full fantasy program--Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday--or for the Sunday program alone.

Presenters on Saturday afternoon will be Susan Fletcher and Marion Dane Bauer from the MFA faculty, plus a reading by Natalie Babbitt in the evening. On Sunday Donna Jo Napoli, Natalie Babbitt, Gregory Maguire and editor Michael Stearns will present. All visitors are welcome. The conference will be held on the beautiful Vermont College campus in Montpelier. For those interested, this will also be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the only MFA program in the country devoted exclusively to writing for children and young adults.
