Is "Enchantress of the Stars" really a fantasy? I know the whole "is it fantasy or science fiction" debate can get pretty nitpicky (and very tiresome), but I think of this as clearly a science fiction title. It has elements of fantasy, but these are explained away when we learn more about the dragon, princess, etc. It's those fantasy elements, though, that make it a great title to remember for reader's advisory. Not all fantasy readers like science fiction; when a student has to read a science fiction book for school, "Enchantress" has that fantasy appeal, but qualifies as science fiction. In fact, I think that's the situation where I've had the most success getting kids to try it...
