This is my first message to ccbc-net. A brief introduction: I am from Sydney, and am a regular reviewer of children's and YA books for a variety of journals in Australia. I visited the USA for the first time this year, travelling on a Churchill Fellowship, and visited colleagues who deliver literature programs to children and youth (including some ccbc-net folk!).
I thought people may be interested to hear that Markus Zusak will shortly publish "When Dogs Cry", which is the third novel about the Wolfe brothers. The first was "Underdog", the second is "Fighting Ruben Wolfe" (which was an Honour Book in the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Awards: Older Readers this year). I have only today received an advance reading copy of "When Dogs Cry", and would be pleased to offer my thoughts on it when I have read it.
