Thanks to those of you who shared your concerns with us about CCBC-Net, both individually and to the group as a whole. These are certainly difficult times for all of us in the U.S. right now, and we have no real precedents on which to base our decisions. We recognize, too, that CCBC-Net can't be all things to all people, even in the best of times.
Some of you have written already with suggestions of books to share with children, as well as web resources for adults working with children in crisis. We invite you to continue sending messages of this nature until next Wednesday, September 19, at which time we will resume our discussion of Sports Books, moving on to sports in books for teens. We ask any of you who want to contribute to the the discussion about sports literature to hold off for a few more days.
If you are suffering from information overload concerning the events of the past few days, and/or feel that you already have everything you need to help children you know through this crisis, you may want to check out of CCBC-net for the next few days, and tune in again on Weds Sept 19.
Thanks again for your caring contributions to the discussion.
