Hawk: Champion Skateboarder by Tony Hawk and Sean Mortimer
(HarperCollings, 2000) had one of my fourth grade boys reading through lunch and every free moment. The only other book all year that engaged him to that degree was Jennifer Armstrong's Shipwreck at the Bottom of the World. This particular student always told me how much he preferred nonfiction to fiction and he and I were always on the lookout for books that would satisfy this proclivity.
