I wasn't going to comment on sports books much because as a kid I never read them or was at all interested in them. But as an adult, boy do I ever miss baseball.

I'm getting news logged. To the point where I breathe, eat, and sleep the world trade centre atrocity. I could use a friendly game of Jays vs Orioles to unwind. Can't wait till Monday when the games resume. Give me a contested umpire call any day!

We tend to view sports as being entertainment. Little more than pleasant diversions. Maybe kids need these diversions as much as anybody.

By the way one of my favourite sports books is by Jean Little and Claire MacKay called Bats about Baseball. About this little kid who's trying to talk to his grandmother who's watching the game. Hilarious!
