Please forgive this off topic message- The CCBC commuinity is invited to a reception this evening at 5:00 pm. to 6:00 pm.
This evening Bank Street College will be designated a literary landmark as the intellectual home of children's book author Margaret Wise Brown.
The event and reception will take place in the Children's Library at 5:00 p.m.
The festivities will include a short presentation from author and biographer Leonard Marcus and copies of Wise Brown's "My World" courtesy of Harper Collins.
The celebration is open to the public.
Please feel to forward this information to friends who may be interested.
A personal note- because of the recent events we will probably have low turnout. We would really appreciate a show of support from anyone who may already be in the Upper West Side neighborhood to just stop by for a few minutes.
We are two blocks from the number 1 train 110th street stop. Trains are running. The library is on the 5th floor.
Thank you Lisa
