Additional Foreign Editions of Make Lemonade

Sorry that I can't point you to the earlier message this month about the international publication of this novel. In a recent e-mail exchange with Virginia Euwer Wolff I learned that there are four other editions of Make Lemonade (Danish, Dutch, Japanese, & Spanish). I thought some of you might be interested to know this.

I'm not returning to the discussion about race, which I think has been fairly well covered, even if it hasn't been resolved, and it probably can't be. You will be interested, however, to find out what Ms. Wolff reports about the jacket art for each of these four ML editions. The Danish edition pictures two white girls; the Dutch edition features a photo of a blonde white girl; the Japanese edition has a tree on the jacket; and the jacket of the Spanish edition shows a girl of color with white children.
