Gentle Reminder about CCBC-Net Messages

Here's a request from one of our participants. It's one I echo, even if I don't get the digest format.

None of us wants a long string of former messages on any e-mail correspondance. Please delete what isn't needed, and paste in what you want to refer to, if anything, from a previous message. - Ginny

THE REQUEST:

I'm wondering if you or someone else could do a favor for those of us who get the listserve in digest form? I know you've asked folks this before, but maybe you could remind them again.

Or maybe your webmaster could add it to the instructions: Please delete automatic quotes of previous messages.

I fully agree with the need, sometime, to quote from a previous message, but when a quote quotes a quote, etc., we find ourselves reading through pages of already seen comments.

I was almost tempted, but restrained myself, to send the list a sample of what one day's quoted quotes looks like as a way of reinforcing how awful it is and even confusing at times.

This is such a good list and the comments are so thoughtful, but I really only want to read them once.
