It's been a wonderful discussion so far of the Robert F. Sibert Award winners and honor books. Thank you to the Sibert committee members who have shared their insights into how they intepreted the award criteria, and thank you to all who have been sharing thoughts about these outstanding books and what in general makes a great book of information.

We have just a few days of Sibert Dicussion Left. On Monday, we will begin discussion of the Batechelder Award-winning book, Samir and Yonatan by Daniella Carmi, published by Arthur A. Levine Books/Scholastic, and the Batchelder Honor Book, The Ultimate Game by Christian Lehmann, published by David R. Godine.

We haven't yet discussed The Longitude Prize by Joan Dash. Who can comment on their experience as a reader of this book? Has anyone used it with young readers?

What else would you like to say about any of the other Sibert books, or the award in general?

Megan
