Maia: If you haven't read Hazel Rochman's interview with Carolyn Coman in the January 1/15, 2001 (pp.938?9) issue of Booklist, I suggest that you do. Amongst other topics, Hazel and Carolyn touch on some of the issues you mentioned bothering your in your 1/31/00 post (see below) to the CCBC listserv.
