This discussion has been very interesting to me in that no one has mentionned with the exception of Silent to the Bone -- the other three big books that I was really quite surprised not to see recognized
-Karen Hesse's Stowaway, Lois Lowry's Gathering Blue and Karen Cushman's Matilda bone -- three really fine novels that I have to say that I persoanlly rated miles above this years winner and honour books. While all three have obviously been past winners of the award, again, I was most surprosed not to see any of them recognized at least as honour books. Wondering what other people feel about this.
