Aside from the strong use of line in OLIVIA which conveys emotion, action, and setting, the design is absolutely brilliant--tons and tons of white space casting our star into central star role uncluttered by distractions. The d.j. and end papers prepare the reader for what will come and begin identification with the character (in many senses of the word). D.j. is 100% concentrated on the prima, primissima title critter.

Fun and funnier--and very real when we examine some of us when we were young (we were, you know--once) and little guys whom we observe hither and yon these days.

Good stuff, that.
