I'm interested to know what people thought about Ian Falconer's OLIVIA. I found her character enchanting because everyone can relate to some degree. I really liked Falconer's mixture of the monochromatic with the bright red. The two-page spread showing Olivia's "sand castle" was a laugh out loud illustration. Still, I was surprised that it won a Caldecott Honor. If I've missed discussion on this one, maybe someone will just let me know. Best, Lisa Thalhimer
