[CCBC-Net] Joey Pigza

I loved the Joey Pigza books and so gave them to a friend who has an ADHD child, now in 6th grade. She said the books were not easy for her to read, but they hit home so well that they made her cry. While my friend felt there were minor inaccuracies (the sugar, for instance), she also felt the heart of the book rang true, especially the way Joey focussed so completely on a subject that he took it to extremes (the key).
She has given the first book to her son, who is reading it. We are both waiting to see what his reaction will be!
