I have read and heard several references to "A Year Down Yonder" as a collection of short stories. What leads you to believe this, other than the fact that its predecessor was structured in this way?
To me, the narrative structure of "A Year Down Yonder" seems to consist of fairly standard chronologically arranged chapters and, although they're episodic, I don't think any one of them would really stand alone as a short story. Does anyone agree? Disagree?
