Hello all -
I am new to this listserv, but I thought I'd finally post a question because I am desperate!
Every year there is a trivia contest in which librarians in my system participate. Each year, prior to the contest, a packet of visual trivia is issued. Participants are given a time to find out as much as they can about the images so as to be better prep ared to answer questions regarding these images.
Can *anyone* help? One image no one here can identify. It is a pseudo-map image with illustrations of mice. Most of the text on the map is whited-out, for obvious reasons, except for this excerpt :
"A peaceful community of honorable mice ... a land blessed with a moderate climate and fertile soil ... a land where no mouse is a stranger"
There are other identified spots on the map, such as "The school", "The city park",
"The farm", "The acorn", "The lighthouse", and so on. We have ruled out Bramley Hedge as a possibility, but it looks like this illustration is a cross between Bramley Hedge and Watership Down with a dash of Redwall thrown in. It looks like the illustration is from the 1970's or so.
Any guesses????????? Most appreciated!
- Monica
