Thanks for the blow-by-blow on the awards announcement. I always feel like Cinderella at the ball, never there but really wish I could be. So this was almost as good. I long for the day when Children's literature (or any book award announcement for that matter) would get the Academy Awards treatment. What a great site to see your favorite author, academic or librarian decked out for an awards ceremony. Now that would be something worth watching.
