I read The Wanderer last summer, and while I enjoyed the book, especially the vivid descriptions, it reminded me so much of Walk Two Moons in its mysterious quest theme that much of its effectiveness was lost. I would certainly recommend it for its adventure and characters, and as a companion to Voyage of the Frog by Paulsen, however.
