Thanks to everyone who stepped up to the mike - so to speak - so far this month to let us know which books you particularly admire this year. Thanks to Jeanne, Sharon, Jonathan, Susan, Kathy, Ruth, Linnea, Doris, Betsy, Ann, John, Henrietta, Ilene, Susan, and Jennifer! Sorry I can't do the right thing by commenting on everyone's contribution and on your heartfelt connections with some of the books. Each of you'll at least know that you message was received. If you sent a message recently, don't worry about it. I'm sure it's on its way.
These are wide-ranging suggestions for personal gift giving, profressional reading, library & classroom considerations, and books to suggest to the young people in our own work and home lives. (Yes, these are separate lives - just in case some of you feel stressed at the end of the semester or calendar year!)
Keep the good gift and reading ideas coming along! Suggestions for various national awards are welcome - and that's what they'll be, too
- suggestions. Some of you have already made comments to this effect. Keep it up! Cheers, Ginny
