A favorite picture book of mine this year is The Hunter by Mary Casanova, illustrated by Ed Young.Beautifully, simply, told tale of a hunter who must chose between saving his village or himself. And Ed Young's illustrations are incredible.
I thought Buttons was a good romp, but I'm tired of the old European fairy tale motif that three young adult daughters need to be married off. I'd like to give our beautiful, talented daughters other options! My only consolation is that their father is an idiot....
