Best bedtime book How do dinosaur say goodnight, Jane Yolen, Mark Teague, Scholastic. This one is sure to be a perennial favorite. Humorous, richly detailed illustrations, concise words, family after human family trying to get their huge dinosaur into bed.

Best easy read

Good Night, Good Knight, by Shelly Moore Thomas, illustrated by Jennifer Plecas, Dutton

A sweet gentle tale of a good knight who is called from his crumbly, tumbly tower to tuck in three very demanding dragons. The simple yet charming text is perfectly paired with expressive, light-handed illustrations.
