I think as biographers we have to be careful not to make the person seem perfect. It's necessary to include their faults and mistakes, along with their contributins to society.
I'm working on a YA biography of Henry Ford right now. Boy, are there a lot of contradictions in that man! This is very interesting, but I think it's going to be difficult to write.
