UW-Madison alumna Susan Straub has given the CCBC permission to webcast "Read to Me," a thirty-minute video that demonstrates an innovative program she developed in the New York City public schools to encourage teen mothers to read to their babies.
In conjunction with Susan Straub's video, Kathleen Horning has created a CCBC bibliography of recommended easy-to-read books for babies and toddlers called "Beginning with Books."
For information about Susan Straub's "Read to Me" program; watching or securing the video; tips on reading to babies; and locating the new CCBC bibliography, visit http://www.education.wisc.edu/ccbc/readtome.htm
