Has anyone mentioned Walt Kelly's version of the courtroom scene from AIW? I just remembered it, and I'm at work, and my 10 EVER-LOVING BLUEEYED YEARS WITH POGO is at home, so I can't check, but it's one of my favorite things.

If memory serves, Walt Kelly did a graphic version of "Who Stole the Tarts?", peopled by the Pogo characters (Alice was Pogo, in a blond wig. As I am wearing a pointy black hat and a wig of straight, silver hair just now, I feel very one with Pogo as Alice), in the 1950s. It was his way of speaking out against the McCarthy hearing witch hunts, and it is quite masterful. Interesting how well that worked as political commentary, some 90 years after it was published.
