Save this date and time to meet and hear Anthony Browne in L160, Elvehjem Art Museum, 800 University Ave., on the UW-Madison campus on Tuesday, November 14, beginning at 5:30pm.
Mr. Browne's free, public lecture is open to all interested in hearing and meeting this distinguished artist/author just received the
the 2000 Hans Christian Andersen Award. The tentative title of Mr. Browne's speech is "Using Pictures: Let the Pictures Tell the Story." He will be available to autograph books following his presentation.
The Elvehjem Gift Shop will have copies of Mr. Browne's books for sale during the weeks prior to his Madison visit, and they will sell books before and after his lecture.
Mr. Browne's speech is sponsored by the Cooperative Children's Book Center, the Friends of the CCBC, and Candlewick Press and it is co-sponsored by the UW-Madison Department of Art, Department of Curriculum & Instruction, International Institute, and School of Library & Information Studies. Other co-sponsors will be listed at a later date.
